Hibiscus syriacus
Hibiscus syriacus is a shrub that grows up to 2 meters tall. It is native to China and Taiwan.
The flowers are large, up to 6 cm in diameter, bell-shaped, purple or pink. Blooming begins in late August and early September.
The fruit are capsule-shaped.
The leaves are three-lobed, coarsely serrated, and gray-green.
This plant is suitable for bonsai!
Hibiscus syriacus has no special soil requirements. It prefers a sunny location. It is completely frost-hardy.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Soak the seeds in water for 12 to 24 hours, then stratify them by placing them in a container with moist soil and refrigerating for 90-140 days. After this process, sow them in spring, about 0.5 cm deep, in well-drained soil at a temperature of around 21°C (70°F).
Maintain constant moisture, but avoid overwatering.
