Cornus florida
Cornus florida is a striking, wide-growing shrub native to North America. In our climate, it reaches approximately 5 meters in height.
The flowers are decorative, yellow-green, clustered in inflorescences. It blooms before the leaves emerge, in late April/early May.
The fruit, shiny red berries, persist on the tree until late winter.
The leaves are dark green, ovate-elliptical, turning carmine red in autumn.
Cornus florida requires fertile, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations. It is not completely frost-hardy.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Pour warm water over the seeds and let them soak for approximately 24 hours.
After soaking, place the seeds in moist sand and store in a cool place (e.g., refrigerator) for several months.
In spring, sow the prepared seeds in well-drained soil.
After sowing, place the containers outdoors in a partially shaded location, sheltered from the wind.
