Ulmus glabra
Ulmus glabra is a long-lived deciduous tree. It occurs naturally in Europe and Asia.
It reaches up to 30-40 m in height
Leaves with a characteristic asymmetric base, double serrated and rough to the touch.
The bark of young trees is smooth, in older trees it is dark gray and deeply cracked.
Small flowers, gathered in bunches, appear in early spring (before the leaves develop).
Fruit with a centrally located seed, easily dispersed by the wind.
Ulmus glabra grows best on fertile, fresh and humus-rich soil. It prefers a semi-sunny position.
We attach a receipt or (at the customer's request) an invoice and a delivery document compliant with WIORiN requirements to each order, as well as a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurserymen and amateurs.
Rules for handling seeds:
Seeds require stratification. To stratify, place the seeds in a box with damp sand and place them in the refrigerator for about 30 days.
After this process, place the seeds in fertile, well-drained soil at a depth of about 1 cm.
Provide them with a bright, sheltered position and constantly slightly moist soil. Avoid overwatering.
