Butea monosperma
Butea monosperma is a species of tree in the Fabaceae family. It is native to India, Sri Lanka, and Burma.
It grows up to 15 meters tall.
The leaves are green, trifoliate, with small stipules, and the leaflets are more or less leathery and rounded.
Beautiful, orange-red flowers appear before the leaves, resembling parrot beaks. They are pollinated by birds or palm squirrels.
The fruit is a pod approximately 15–20 cm long.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Place the seeds in lukewarm water for 48 hours before sowing to increase germination. If the seeds are very hard, consider scarifying them after soaking.
Sow the seeds about 1 cm deep. Use a well-draining, well-draining soil mix.
Sowing seeds is best in spring, but can be done year-round.
SEEDS ARE FOR SOWING ONLY!
