Acacia dealbata

Acacia dealbata is a small, spreading tree native to Australia. In our climate, it reaches a modest height of about 2 meters. This plant is suitable for bonsai! Decorative, yellow, pleasantly scented flowers, arranged in large panicles. It blooms profusely at the turn of May and June. The fruit are brown, flat pods, up to 10 cm long. The evergreen leaves are small, gray-green, and covered with light silvery hairs. At night, the leaves fold like those of a mimosa! Silver acacia requires fertile, slightly acidic soil. It prefers a sunny, wind-sheltered location.
