Arachis hypogea
Arachis hypogea is a plant native to Brazil, suitable for potted and ground cultivation.
It grows from 50 to 70 cm tall.
The leaves are pinnately compound, with two pairs of oval leaflets.
The flowers are yellow, papilionaceous.
After flowering, the flower stalk elongates and points downward, pushing the pod into the ground.
The fruit is a pod with a furrowed, fibrous covering, containing 1-4 seeds, known as peanuts, which are a source of peanut oil.
To maximize the chances of yielding a harvest, choose a location carefully or opt for sheltered cultivation.
Arachis hypogea grows best in light, sandy-loamy soil. It prefers a sunny location sheltered from the wind.
Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Soak the seeds in warm water for approximately 10 minutes.
In spring, sow the seeds in pots with well-drained soil, preferably in March or April.
Ensure a temperature of 23-27°C and moderate humidity, and avoid overwatering.
Choose a sunny location.
