Sorbus intermedia
Sorbus intermedia is a medium-sized tree with a conical, regular, and compact crown. It is native to Europe.
It reaches up to 12 meters in height.
The inflorescences are hairy, large, and white.
The leaves are single, elliptical or obovate, dark green on top, and gray and hairy on the underside.
The leaf shape is highly variable.
The spherical, orange-red fruit ripens in September and October.
Sorbus intermedia thrives in a variety of soil types. It prefers sunny locations. It is frost-hardy.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Stratify the seeds by mixing the seeds with slightly damp sand or peat. Place the mixture in a plastic bag or container and store in the refrigerator at approximately 5°C for approximately 90 days.
After the stratification period, sow the seeds directly into the ground in April. Alternatively, they can be sown directly into the ground in the fall, which will allow for natural stratification over winter, but this may extend germination time.
