Phoenix acaulis

Phoenix acaulis is an evergreen palm native to northern India, Bhutan, and Nepal.

It grows to 1.5 meters in height.

It has medicinal uses.

Leaves are pencil-shaped, lanceolate, with a reddish-brown, fibrous leaf sheath. The leaves are arranged in opposite groups, and the blade is a single-colored, pale green.

Flowers are at ground level, white, tri-star-shaped, and clustered in panicles.

The fruit is an ovoid berry that ripens from green with scarlet tips to blue-black.
