Cornus mas
Cornus mas is a large shrub or small tree with a loose crown, native to Central and Southeastern Europe and Western Asia. In our climate, it reaches approximately 7 meters in height.
The plant has medicinal properties!
The edible fruit is large, small, purple when ripe. Suitable for preserves! They contain high amounts of vitamin C and minerals such as potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese, as well as beta-carotene, flavonoids, and organic acids.
The flowers are small, yellow, fragrant, and clustered in umbels. It blooms in late March and early April.
The leaves are dark green, ovate-elliptical, long-pointed, and seasonal, turning red or brownish-red in autumn.
Cornus mas has no special soil requirements. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations. It is frost-resistant.
Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.

Seed Handling Instructions:
The seeds require a two-step stratification process:
Mix the seeds with moist, fine-grained sand and maintain a temperature of 21-30°C for approximately 2 months. After this process, transfer the seeds to a cool place, such as a refrigerator, for 4-6 months, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist.
Sow the seeds in April or May at a depth of 2-3 cm. Use a light potting mix. Keep the soil moist, but avoid overwatering.
