Picea abies
Picea abies is a species of tree in the pine family. It grows primarily in the northeastern part of the country, southern Poland, in the mountains, and foothills.
It reaches up to 40-50 meters in height.
The needles are pointed and arranged evenly on the branches. They remain on the branches for 5-7 years.
The cones are pendulous, light brown, and shiny. They ripen in autumn and fall after the seeds have shed.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, as well as a plant passport, if required.
Seed Handling Instructions:
The seeds require stratification - mix them with moist sand or peat and place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for approximately 1-2 months. Maintaining constant humidity and a temperature between 0-5°C is crucial. After stratification, sow the seeds in early spring in pots or beds.
The soil should be light and well-drained.
After sowing, water thoroughly and keep the soil moist.
