Cordia sebestena is a striking tree with a rounded crown, native to America. It reaches approximately 10 meters in height.

The flowers are bright red, clustered in umbel-shaped panicles.

The leaves are dark green, leathery, and ovate.

Cordia sebestena requires fertile, humus-rich, well-drained, and moist soil. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Soak the seeds in hot water (60°C) for 24 hours. Then sow them in sandy, well-drained soil.

Provide a very high temperature (25°C) and humidity.
