Viburnum rhytidophyllum
Viburnum rhytidophyllum is an evergreen shrub native to western and northern China. It grows to a height of 3-4 meters.
The flowers are creamy white, fragrant, gathered in corymbs up to 20 cm in diameter, and begin blooming in late May/early June.
The fruit, red berries, ripen to black, gathered in clusters, ripen in late August/early September.
The leaves are large, ovate, dark green, up to 25 cm long, and evergreen.
Viburnum rhytidophyllum has no special soil requirements; typical, sufficiently moist garden soil is sufficient. It prefers sunny or partially sunny, sheltered locations. It is completely frost-hardy.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required. The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Mix the seeds with moist sand and store in a cool place (e.g., refrigerator) for several weeks to several months.
After the stratification period, sow the seeds in pots in a suitable substrate, preferably a mixture of sand and peat. Place them in a sunny, warm location.
