Celtis occidentalis
Celtis occidentalis is a tree with a wide, spreading crown native to North America. It grows up to 10 meters tall.
The plant is highly resistant to all diseases, drought, and air pollution!
The small, yellow flowers begin blooming before the leaves emerge!
The ovate, dark green leaves, up to 10 cm long, turn yellow in autumn.
The blackish-brown fruit, similar to wild cherries, is edible!
Celtis occidentalis has no special soil requirements. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations. It is completely frost-hardy.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Seeds require stratification. Mix the seeds with moist soil, place the mixture in a plastic bag or container with holes, and store in the refrigerator for approximately 30-60 days, checking the moisture content and aerating regularly.
After this process, sow the seeds in March or April.
Sow in pots, in a cold frame, or directly into the ground.
Ensure the soil is consistently and moderately moist.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
