Musa balbisiana
Musa balbisiana is a wild banana species native to eastern South Asia, northern Southeast Asia, and southern China.
It grows up to 10 meters tall.
The flowers are intensely red to burgundy, very decorative, and clustered in large, pendulous inflorescences.
The leaves are large, broad, and lanceolate.
The fruits are small and distinctly curved. The skin changes color from green to greenish-yellow or yellow as it ripens.
The balbisiana requires full sun, fertile, well-drained soil, and ample watering. In Poland, it is primarily grown in pots and is moved indoors for the winter.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Soak the seeds in lukewarm water for 24-72 hours (changing the water daily), which will facilitate sprouting. Use a light, well-drained substrate such as coconut fiber, a mixture of peat and sand, or perlite. Drainage at the bottom of the pot is essential.
Place the seeds approximately 1-2 cm deep in the soil.
Maintain a high temperature of 25-30°C and constant soil moisture, avoiding overwatering.
It's a good idea to cover the pot with plastic wrap or glass to ensure high humidity, while ensuring adequate ventilation.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
