Abies lasiocarpa

Abies lasiocarpa is a species of evergreen tree in the pine family. It is native to North America.

It reaches up to 20 meters in height.

The needles are bluish-green to bluish-whitish, notched or entire at the tips. The underside has two white stripes radiating outward on young shoots, while on older shoots, the stripes are crista-like on the lower part, pointing upward.

The shoots are yellow-green or yellow-brown, with fine grooves around the base of the needles.

The cones are sessile, ovate, oblong, or cylindrical, blue-violet when immature, dark brown-violet when mature.

The seed scales are fan-shaped or wedge-shaped.

Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.

The seeds we offer are high-quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Seeds require stratification. Mix them with moist sand or peat and place them in a plastic bag or container.

Refrigerate for approximately 4-6 weeks.

After stratification, sow the seeds in spring.

Prepare light, well-drained soil with an acidic or slightly acidic pH.

Sow the seeds approximately 1-2 cm deep.

Place the pots in a bright location, but not in direct sunlight. Maintain a moderate temperature.

SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
