Abies lasiocarpa
Abies lasiocarpa is a species of evergreen tree in the pine family. It is native to North America.
It reaches up to 20 meters in height.
The needles are bluish-green to bluish-whitish, notched or entire at the tips. The underside has two white stripes radiating outward on young shoots, while on older shoots, the stripes are crista-like on the lower part, pointing upward.
The shoots are yellow-green or yellow-brown, with fine grooves around the base of the needles.
The cones are sessile, ovate, oblong, or cylindrical, blue-violet when immature, dark brown-violet when mature.
The seed scales are fan-shaped or wedge-shaped.

Seed Handling Instructions:
Seeds require stratification. Mix them with moist sand or peat and place them in a plastic bag or container.
Refrigerate for approximately 4-6 weeks.
After stratification, sow the seeds in spring.
Prepare light, well-drained soil with an acidic or slightly acidic pH.
Sow the seeds approximately 1-2 cm deep.
Place the pots in a bright location, but not in direct sunlight. Maintain a moderate temperature.
