Pinus edulis
Pinus edulis is a North American ornamental pine species with a dense, conical crown.
It reaches up to 20 meters in height, but can also grow as a shrub.
The needles are short, slightly curved towards the tip of the branch. They remain on the tree for 2-4 years.
The cones are small, spherical, and composed of only a few thick scales.
Pinus edulis grows best in light, sandy, sandy-loam, or gravelly soils. The soil must be very well-drained.
It prefers a sunny location.
The above photo shows seeds of the plant included in the offer. The photo does not represent the quantity of seeds included; it is only a preview image illustrating the seed size.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Seeds require stratification. To stratify, soak the seeds in water for approximately 24–48 hours, then place them in a ziplock bag or container with damp sand. Store the seeds in the refrigerator for approximately 6–8 weeks.
You can sow the seeds directly into the ground in the fall to allow them to naturally stratify.
Prepare a well-draining mix. Sow the seeds vertically, pointy end down, about 0.5–1 cm deep.
Move the pots to a warm location.
Keep the soil constantly moist, but not wet.
SEEDS ARE FOR SOWING ONLY!
