Acer pseudoplatanus
Acer pseudoplatanus is a stately tree with a broad, spherical crown, native to Europe and Asia. In our climate, it reaches approximately 30 meters in height.
The flowers, yellow-green in color, cluster in hanging panicles, bloom in May. The plant is a melliferous plant!
The double samaras, with round, spherical nuts, ripen in late September and early October.
The leaves are dark green, large, palmate, matte, and seasonal, turning yellow in autumn.
Acer pseudoplatanus has no soil requirements. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations. It is frost-resistant.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, as well as a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Guidelines:
It's best to sow seeds in autumn, immediately after harvest, so they can undergo natural winter stratification in the ground. Alternatively, they can be sown in spring, after cold storage for 90 to 120 days at a temperature of 1-5°C. The seeds require moist, well-drained soil and a sunny location.
