Common buckthorn is a shrub or small tree native to Europe, northwest Africa, and Asia Minor and Central Asia.
It reaches 5-6 meters in height.
The leaves are broadly elliptical, usually arranged in a whorled pattern. They turn yellow in autumn.
The flowers are small, inconspicuous, greenish, and appear from May to June, but flowering can extend into September.
The fruits are spherical drupes. As they ripen, they change color from green to red to purplish-black.
Common buckthorn grows best in fertile, humus-rich, and slightly acidic soil.
It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations. It is completely frost-hardy.
Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:

Keep the soil moist, but avoid overwatering.
