Styrax japonica
Styrax japonica is a tall shrub native to Japan, as its name suggests. It grows up to 5 meters tall.
The flowers are white with a pink tint, borne in clusters on long stalks, and are fragrant. They bloom profusely from June to the end of July.
The plant is a nectar-producing plant!
The fruit is round, lime-green, drupe-shaped.
The leaves are lanceolate, stiff, dark green, and glossy, turning a beautiful yellow and red in autumn.
Styrax japonica requires humus-rich, clay-sandy, moist soil. It prefers sunny or partially sunny, sheltered locations. Frost-hardy to -26°C (-4°F).
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN (Polish Chamber of Inspection and Inspection), and a plant passport, if required. The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurserymen and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Cold stratify for approximately 3-4 months at a temperature between 0°C and 4.5°C. Mix the seeds with a moist substrate, such as sand, place the mixture in an airtight container or ziplock bag, and then store in the refrigerator.
After stratification, sow the seeds in moist substrate in seedling trays or pots, covering them with a thin layer of sand or soil.
Keep the substrate moist and place the containers in a place with exposure to light.
SEEDS ARE FOR SOWING ONLY!
