Magnolia grandiflora is an evergreen tree native to the southeastern United States. In our climate, it reaches approximately 5 meters in height.
The flowers are decorative, white or cream-colored, fragrant, and 20 cm in diameter. It blooms in late June and early July.
The fruit is also decorative, composed of follicles. Ripe, they are pinkish-purple.
The leaves are dark green, glossy, and obovate.
Magnolia grandiflora requires fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It prefers sunny or partially sunny, sheltered locations. Frost hardiness down to -12°C (14°F).
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN (Polish Chamber of Plant Protection and Inspection), and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
To sow seeds, first soak them for 24 hours and then stratify them in acidic peat and sand for 60-90 days at 1-3°C. After stratification, sow the seeds in slightly acidic soil in a greenhouse or cold frame, and once they have germinated, transplant the seedlings into pots.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
