Rosa canina

Rosa canina is a shrub commonly found in Europe, North Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.

It reaches up to 3 meters in height.

The medium-sized leaves are smooth or hairy, with 5-7 ovate leaflets. They are matte or glossy, light to dark green, and serrated at the edges.

The flowers are single, white, pale pink, and not very large. The petals are heart-shaped. The flowers appear on short previous year's shoots and are borne singly or in clusters of up to a dozen.

The fruits are scarlet, ovoid, smooth, and full of vitamins, especially rich in vitamin C.

Rosa canina grows best in humus-rich, well-drained, and moderately moist soil.

It prefers sunny or partially shaded locations.

It is frost-hardy.

Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.

The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Stratify the seeds – mix the seeds with moist sand and peat and place the container in the refrigerator for several weeks. Once the seeds have completed stratification, sow them 1-2 cm deep into the soil. Alternatively, they can be sown in containers with potting mix and maintained at a constant humidity and temperature of around 20°C.

If you do not stratify, you can sow the seeds directly into the ground before winter, in a sheltered location.

SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
