Punica granatum

Punica granatum is a medium-sized tree or thorny shrub growing up to 5 meters tall! The plant originates from the Middle East and has been known since antiquity.

The flowers are pitcher-shaped, hermaphrodite, pinkish-red, and very showy! The leaves are opposite, small, and shiny.

The fruit is purplish-violet with a calyx on top. The plant has medicinal properties. It prevents premature aging, protects against circulatory diseases, and prevents cancer, as well as soothing inflammation. In ancient times, the pomegranate was considered a symbol of fertility.

Instructions for handling seeds: 

Place the seeds in light, well-drained soil at a depth of approximately 1 cm. Cover the pot with plastic wrap to retain moisture.

Place the pot in a warm, bright place, keeping it moist but avoid overwatering.
