 Abies alba
Abies alba is an evergreen conifer native to the mountains of central and southern Europe.
It reaches up to 30-50 meters in height.
The needles are dark green, shiny, flat, blunt or slightly notched at the top, and have two white stripes on the underside. When crushed, they have a pleasant, orange-like fragrance.
The cones are cylindrical, stand upright on the branches, are green, and fall apart when ripe.
Abies alba requires fertile, fresh, and moist soil. It prefers a shady or semi-shady location. It is frost-sensitive and not completely frost-hardy, especially when young.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and are intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Seeds should first be stratified—mixed with moist sand and stored cool at approximately 10-18°C (50-64°F) for several weeks. Then, sow them in the ground or in pots in May. Bury the seeds approximately 10 cm deep, cover with soil, and then with a layer of sawdust or mulch. Young plants require a partially shaded location, sheltered from the wind.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
