Abies concolor
Abies concolor is a large, vigorous tree with a beautiful, regular, conical shape. It is native to central North America.
It reaches 25 meters in height.
The needles are long, soft, blue-green, and curved upward in a saber-like manner.
The cones are erect, cylindrical, and come in shades of green and purple.
It is tolerant of various habitats, withstanding frost, drought, and air pollution well. However, it requires a sunny location.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
The seeds require stratification. Mix them with moist sand or peat and place them in a container. Store them in the refrigerator for about 4-6 weeks.
After the stratification period, the seeds are ready to sow.
Choose light, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic pH. A mixture of compost, peat, and sand works well.
Sow the seeds in pots or containers, preferably about 0.5 cm deep.
Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil or sand.
The soil must be kept slightly moist at all times, but not wet, to prevent the seeds from rotting.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
