Pinus strobus
Pinus strobus is a conifer native to northern and eastern North America.
It reaches approximately 30–60 meters in height.
The needles, 5 on short shoots, are blue-green, flexible, and thin.
The shoots are greenish or greenish-brown for several years, usually finely pubescent or glabrous. The buds are ovate, pointed, and covered with resin.
The mature cones are brown, cylindrical, narrow, and long, usually slightly curved, hanging on short peduncles, and often resinous.
Pinus strobus grows best in a sunny or lightly shaded location, sheltered from strong winds. It prefers moderately moist, well-drained, humus-rich, and slightly acidic soil.
Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
Our seeds are high-quality and suitable for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Before sowing, the seeds should be stratified at low temperatures for approximately 8 weeks. After this process, in spring, dig a hole approximately 40-50 cm deep and wide. Mix fresh soil with acidic peat moss, pour the first layer of prepared soil into the bottom of the hole, place the seeds on top of the soil, cover with another layer of the prepared mixture, and then gently tamp the soil down.
Choose a sunny location.
