Syringa vulgaris
Syringa vulgaris is a deciduous shrub native to the Balkans, but thanks to its extraordinary beauty, it has gained popularity throughout Europe and beyond.
It grows from 2 to 7 meters in height.
The leaves are broadly oval, glabrous on both sides, and dark green.
A distinctive feature of the common lilac is its flowers, gathered in large, conical inflorescences, which can range in shades from delicate white to deep purple. The flowers exude a beautiful, intense, sweet fragrance. It blooms in May.
Syringa vulgaris requires fertile, well-drained, moderately moist soil with a neutral to slightly alkaline pH, and prefers a sunny location.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required. The seeds we offer are high-quality and intended for both nurserymen and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Seeds must be stratified - Place the seeds with moist soil in a container and refrigerate for 1-3 months to stratify. After the stratification period, in early spring, place the container with seeds outdoors in a sunny location.
The soil should be constantly kept moist, but not wet.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
