Davidia involucrata is a small tree with a regular, conical crown, native to China, as its name suggests. In our climate, it reaches approximately 8 meters in height.
This plant is suitable for bonsai!
The flowers are capitate, unique, and surrounded by large, up to 20 cm long, white bracts. It blooms profusely in late May and early June.
The fruit is a brownish-green, ovoid drupe.
The leaves are green, single, broadly ovate, up to 14 cm long, brown in early spring, green later, and yellow in autumn.
Davidia involucrata prefers fertile, humus-rich soil. It prefers a partially sunny, sheltered location and is frost-hardy down to -26°C.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required. The seeds we offer are high-quality and designed for both nurserymen and amateurs.
