Rhus thypina

Rhus thypina is a shrub or low-stemmed tree reaching a height of 5-6 m in Poland, with an umbrella-shaped, regularly spherical crown.

It is one of the most popular ornamental plants in Poland. It is often planted in parks, gardens, and squares.

A special feature of sumac is its beautiful, large, burgundy seed heads, which remain on the plant's branches even in winter.

The leaves of Rhus thypina are large (approx. 50 cm) and composed of many smaller ones. In autumn, they turn various intense colors, providing exceptional decorative value in the garden.

Rhus thypina has no special soil requirements and thrives even in sandy soil. It thrives in both sunny and shaded locations.

It is completely resistant to low temperatures (down to -30 degrees Celsius) and air pollution.

Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.

The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Pour hot water over the seeds and allow them to cool and soak overnight. After soaking and thoroughly rinsing, sow the seeds in a cold cold frame from March to April or directly into the ground. Young plants require winter protection, so it is recommended to overwinter them in a greenhouse for the first year.

SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
