Psidium guajava
Common guava is a species of plant in the myrtle family. It is native to the Caribbean, Central America, and northern South America.
It grows up to 8 meters tall.
The leaves are green, slightly curved, and have clearly visible veins. They remain on the plant year-round. Guava leaves are also used as a herbal remedy.
The flowers are white and exude a pleasant fragrance, which adds to the plant's appeal. They grow singly in the leaf axils.
The fruits are round or pear-shaped, and can range from 3 to 10 cm in length. As they ripen, they are green at first, then yellowish, and finally develop red discolorations.
The fruit's flesh can be white, yellow, or pink. It exudes a characteristic musky odor. The fruit contains numerous, small, edible seeds.
Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
Our seeds are high-quality and suitable for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Soak the seeds in water approximately 24 hours before sowing. Use a peat and sand mixture or regular garden soil.
Scatter the seeds evenly over the surface of the potting mix and lightly dust them with a thin layer of soil.
Cover the container with a clear plastic wrap to create a microclimate and place it in a warm, bright place. Spray the soil with water as needed to maintain moisture.
Uncover the plastic wrap for a few minutes every few days to air out the container.
