Jutropha curcas
Jatropha purga is a species of plant in the Euphorbia family. It is native to South and Central America.
It is also cultivated commercially in Asia and Africa, in subtropical regions.
It grows up to 4 meters tall.
Leaves range from green to pale green, alternate or opposite.
Male and female flowers are produced on the same inflorescence, averaging 20 male flowers per female flower or 10 male flowers per female flower. The inflorescence may form in the leaf axils.
Fruit appears in winter, or several harvests can be obtained per year if soil moisture is good and temperatures are sufficiently warm.
