Tilia platyphyllos
Tilia platyphyllos is a large deciduous tree with a spreading, dense, conical crown, native to Europe and southwest Asia. In our climate, it reaches approximately 30 meters in height.
Fragrant, light yellow flowers, gathered in drooping inflorescences, bloom in late June and early July. The plant is a melliferous plant!
The leaves are large, heart-shaped, dark green, and turn yellow in autumn.
The fruit is spherical, with winged nuts.
Tilia platyphyllos requires fertile, fresh, humus-rich soil. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations. It is frost-resistant.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs. Seed Handling Guidelines:
Seeds should be stratified annually, then sown 2–3 cm deep in fertile, well-drained soil, preferably in a seedbed or directly in the ground.
Water thoroughly after sowing.
