Hovenia acerba
Howenia acerba is a slow-growing tree native to East Asia. It reaches approximately 20 meters in height.
The ripe fruit is brown, edible, and sweet.
The flowers are greenish-yellow, fragrant, and clustered in loose panicles, blooming in late May and early July.
The leaves are green, glossy, ovate, and large.
The plant has medicinal properties!
Howenia acerba requires sandy, well-drained, and moist soil. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed handling instructions:
Stratify the seeds at a temperature of approximately 3-5°C for 1-3 months. Then sow them in well-drained, humus-rich soil in a sunny or partially shaded location.
