Colutea arborescens
Colutea arborescens is a loose shrub native to southern Europe and northern Africa. It grows to a height of 3-5 meters.
The plant is melliferous!
The flowers are yellow-red, papilionaceous, clustered in numerous clusters, blooming from May until frost.
The fruit are swollen pods, initially reddish, then grayish, up to 8 cm long, remaining on the plant until spring.
The leaves are light green, compound, up to 13 cm long.
Colutea arborescens has no special soil requirements. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations. It is completely frost-hardy.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required. The seeds we offer are high-quality and designed for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Soak the seeds in water for about 3 hours. Prepare a light, well-drained substrate.
You can sow them in pots, containers, or directly into the ground in May.
Cover the seeds with a thin layer of sand or soil, remembering that the finer the seeds, the thinner the layer.
After sowing, water thoroughly and keep them constantly moist.
