Hyophorbe lagenicaulis
Hyophorbe lagenicaulis is an exotic palm native to the island of Mauritius. It is distinguished by its bottle-shaped trunk (which stores water).
It reaches 1.5–3 m in height.
The leaves are pinnate, intense green, and arched, forming a plume.
The flowers are small, creamy-yellow, and clustered in branched inflorescences.
The bottle palm requires fertile and well-drained soil. It prefers a very bright and sunny location. It is sensitive to temperatures below 10°C.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
It's a good idea to soak the seeds in warm water for about 24-48 hours before sowing. The soil should be light, sterile, and well-drained. Sow them in pots filled with moist soil, about 1-1.5 cm deep. Ensure a constant temperature of 25-30°C (77-86°F). Keep the soil slightly moist, but not wet, to avoid rotting. Cover the seedling pots with clear plastic wrap or use a mini greenhouse to maintain humidity.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
