Toona sinensis

Toona sinensis is an exceptionally ornamental tree native to China. It grows up to 15 meters tall.

The plant has medicinal properties! The fruit, bark, and roots of the plant are used in traditional Chinese medicine, including for allergies and skin conditions.

The flowers are white, numerous, and arranged in panicles up to 40 cm long.

The leaves are multicolored, pinnate, and gradually change color, reaching up to 50 cm in length.

The young leaves have an onion-like flavor and are used as a vegetable, while the older leaves are used for brewing herbal tea.

The plant has no special soil requirements, except very dry and acidic ones. It prefers sunny and sheltered locations. Frost hardiness down to -25°C (-4°F).

Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN (Polish Chamber of Inspection and Inspection), and a plant passport, if required.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Soak seeds in water for 12-24 hours before stratification.

Mix seeds with moist sand or peat, place in a zip-lock bag or container, and refrigerate for 4-8 weeks. Check the seeds regularly, air out the bag, and moisten the soil as needed.

Once the seeds begin to germinate, sow them in pots filled with soil and move them to a bright location. Maintain constant moisture.
