Cinnamomum camphora
Cinnamomum camphora is an aromatic tree belonging to the laurel family, native to Asia. In our climate, it grows up to 3 meters tall. The plant has medicinal properties! Camphor oil has a calming and relaxing effect and has antibacterial and analgesic properties.
The flowers are yellow, very numerous, gathered in panicles. Blooming begins at the turn of May and July. The leaves are ovate or elliptical, glossy, dark green, and intensely fragrant, up to 10 centimeters long.
The fruit is a spherical drupe, black in color. The dried bark of the plant yields the culinary spice cinnamon. Cinnamomum camphora requires well-drained and moist soil. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations. Seed Handling Instructions: Seeds should first be soaked in warm water for 24-48 hours, then sown in moist, well-drained soil to a depth of about 0.5 cm, maintaining a temperature of around +25°C. Spring or summer is the best time for sowing, and during germination, it is important to keep the soil regularly moist without drying out. SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
