Cassia marginata
Cassia marginata, commonly known as Red cassia, is a small to medium-sized tree native to Sri Lanka and southern India.
It grows up to 6 meters tall.
The pinnate leaves and twigs are covered with a dense carpet of fine, soft hairs.
The plant produces clusters of pink flowers in terminal racemes; in November and December, the tree is almost overflowing with flowers. The flower petals are about 1.5 cm long, and the visible yellow stamens are characteristically swollen in the center. Each petal is delicately veined with green.
