Araucaria araucana
Araucaria araucana is an evergreen, coniferous tree with an egg-shaped crown, native to South America. In our climate, it reaches approximately 6 meters in height.
The fruit of the araucaria is a pine cone. The seeds ripen within the cones and are edible, tasty, and nutritious. They are used to produce very expensive and exclusive oils.
The plant's bark is horizontally striated.
The needles are dark green, shiny, very stiff, and prickly, up to 4 cm long.
Araucaria araucana has no special soil requirements. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations, sheltered from the wind.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are high-quality and designed for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Prepare slightly acidic, well-drained, and fertile soil. Place the seeds in the soil with the pointed end down.
Press them down or cover them with soil to a depth of about 3 cm.
Provide room temperature.
Keep the soil moderately moist, but avoid excess water, which can lead to seed rot.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
