Picea pungens 'San Juan'
Picea pungens 'San Juan' is a conifer native to the mountainous regions of western North America.
It reaches 10-15 meters in height.
The needles are stiff, prickly, and covered with wax, giving them an intense blue color.
Picea pungens 'San Juan' prefers fertile, well-drained, acidic or slightly acidic soil.
It prefers sunny locations.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
The seeds require stratification. Mix them with moist sand or peat and refrigerate for approximately 4-6 weeks. Alternatively, they can be sown directly into pots in the fall and placed outdoors to survive the winter.
The best time to sow after stratification is early spring.
Sow the seeds in light, well-drained soil to a depth of about 8-12 mm. Cover with a layer of coarse sand or soil, then gently press down.
The soil must be kept moist at all times, but not wet.
SEEDS ARE FOR SOWING ONLY!
