Ptelea trifoliata
Ptelea trifoliata is a shrub native to North America. It grows to a height of 4-6 meters. The plant has medicinal properties!
The greenish-yellow flowers, gathered in corymbs, have an intense clove scent, and begin blooming at the turn of May and June. The plant is melliferous.
The green, rounded samaras, fragrant with a hop scent, ripen in August and persist on the plant until spring.
The dark green leaves, up to 10 cm long, consist of three ovate leaflets, turn yellow in autumn.
The bark, leaves, fruit, and flowers of the plant have tonic and strengthening properties, stimulate the digestive system, and have expectorant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, astringent, anthelmintic, detoxifying, and diaphoretic properties, and prevent the recurrence of many diseases.
Ptelea trifoliata has no special soil requirements. It prefers partial sun or shade. It is completely frost-hardy.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are high-quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
The seeds require stratification. They can also be sown directly into the ground in autumn, allowing nature to do the work.
To stratify, place the seeds in moist sand or soil and refrigerate for approximately 3 months.
After this process, sow the seeds in a seedbed or directly into their permanent location.
Good quality, well-drained soil is recommended. Ensure constant moisture, but avoid overwatering.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
