Halesia carolina
Halesia carolina is a rare, charming shrub or small tree native to the eastern United States.
It reaches up to 10 meters in height.
The leaves are large, ovate, dark green above, paler and hairy below, turning yellow in autumn.
The flowers are abundant, bell-shaped, white (sometimes with a pink tint), reminiscent of lilies of the valley.
Halesia carolina requires fertile, humus-rich, well-drained, and moderately moist soil with an acidic or slightly acidic pH. It prefers a sunny or slightly shaded location sheltered from the wind.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Seeds can be sown in autumn, which allows them to undergo a natural stratification process,
or in spring after stratification at home. To stratify, place the seeds in a container with moist soil and refrigerate for approximately 3-4 months.
After this process, sow the seeds. The soil should be well-drained and slightly acidic to neutral.
Maintain constant moisture and avoid overwatering.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
