Symphoricarpos albus

Symphoricarpos albus is a shrub native to North America.

It grows up to 3 meters tall.

The leaves are opposite, bicolored, single, elliptical in shape, usually with entire margins.

The flowers are small, white-pink, clustered in short spikes at the ends of lateral shoots.

The fruit are berry-like drupes. They persist on the shoots well into the winter. They are spherical, ovoid, and white.

Symphoricarpos albus is an undemanding shrub, capable of growing in fertile soils as well as sandy, dry, and rocky ones. It can grow in full sun or shade. It is frost- and drought-resistant.

Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required. The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Seeds should be stratified for approximately 100 days at a temperature of 4-6°C. Then, sow the seeds in spring in pots with well-drained soil, choosing an acidic substrate such as peat moss with added sand.

Place the pots in a partially shaded location.

Keep the soil slightly moist, but avoid overwatering.
