Betula papyrifera

Betula papyrifera is a species of tree native to northern North America. In Poland, it is cultivated as an ornamental plant.

It reaches a height of up to 20 meters.

The leaves are ovoid and doubly serrated. They have 5-10 pairs of main veins.

They are slightly hairy on the upper side. Their undersides have numerous glands, which are hairy at the corners of the veins. In summer, they are matte and dark green, turning yellow in autumn.

The chalky white bark with a pink tint peels off in thin circular sheets.

The branches are stiff and upward-curving.

The shoots have numerous warts; young shoots are hairy, but later become bare.

Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required. The seeds we offer are of high quality and designed for both nurserymen and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Place the seeds in a moist substrate, such as sand or peat, and place them in a plastic bag or airtight container. Store in the refrigerator at a temperature of +1 to +3°C for one to three months. After stratification, sow the seeds in spring, preferably in the ground, a cold frame, or containers.

SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
