Pinus bungeana

Pinus bungeana is an exceptionally interesting and attractive pine distinguished primarily by its multicolored bark. It is native to northwestern and central China.

It reaches up to 20 meters in height.

The needles, arranged in groups of three on short shoots, are stiff and dark green.

The female cones are ovate, single, pale green, turning brown as they mature.

The seeds are grayish-brown, with a loosely attached wing.
