Gmelina arborea
Gmelina arborea is a fast-growing tree with numerous branches forming a large, shady crown. It includes approximately 35 species native to Australia, New Guinea, New Caledonia, Southeast Asia, India, and several in Africa.
It reaches up to 30 meters in height.
This species is considered valuable and useful. It is characterized by its extreme hardiness.
It has medicinal uses.
The leaves are simple, broadly ovate with a pointed tip, 10 to 20 cm long.
The flowers are pale yellow to cream, tubular, and arranged in terminal clusters.
The fruit is a small, woody capsule containing winged seeds.
