Artocarpus heterophyllus is a striking, fast-growing tropical tree from the mulberry family, native to India. It reaches approximately 25 meters in height.

The leaves are dark green, glossy, elliptical, and up to 20 cm long.

The edible yellow fruit contains beneficial nutrients such as minerals and vitamins.

The flowers are small, yellow-green, and clustered in spikes.

The Artocarpus heterophyllus requires fertile, well-drained soil. It prefers a sunny or partly sunny location.
