Poinciana elata
Poinciana elata is a plant native to East Africa and parts of the Arabian Peninsula.
It reaches 2.5–15 meters in height.
The leaves are up to 20 cm long, green, bipinnately compound, with a decurrent blade at the base, blunted at the apex, or with a short, pointed tip.
The flowers are clustered in terminal clusters, with the lowest flower having the distinctly longest peduncle. The calyx is narrow, leathery, silky, and up to 3 cm long. The corolla is initially white, later yellowing. The upper petal is smaller and darker than the other petals.
The fruit is long, slender pods, measuring 13–20 cm.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are high-quality and designed for both nurserymen and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Gently score or sandpaper the seed coat. After this process, soak the seeds in lukewarm water for 1 to 2 days. The water should be warm, but not hot. Sowing is best done in spring, but can be done indoors year-round.
Use well-drained, slightly moist soil. Sow the seeds about 1 cm deep.
Maintain a temperature of around 22-25°C (70-77°F).
SEEDS ARE FOR SOWING ONLY!
