Bischofia polycarpa
Bischofia polycarpa is an ornamental evergreen tree native to China.
In its natural state, it reaches up to 15 m tall, distinguished by its reddish-brown, peeling bark.
The leaves are glossy, trifoliate, ovate to elliptical, with a pointed tip, and their petioles reach approximately 10 cm. They are purplish-pink in spring and turn orange-red in autumn.
The inflorescences are axillary, hanging in clusters.
Bischofia polycarpa grows best in fertile, nutrient-rich soil.
It prefers a sunny location.
