Ziziphus jujuba

The common jujube is a small, thorny shrub native to China and India. It grows to 3-4 meters in height. It is believed that Christ's crown of thorns was woven from jujube shoots. The plant has medicinal properties!

The yellowish-green flowers, gathered in umbel-shaped inflorescences, begin blooming in late May and early June.

The spherical, red, edible, sweet fruits ripen in late autumn and winter. The fruits can be eaten raw and are also suitable for preserves. The leaves are ovate, glossy, dark green, and turn yellow in autumn. The fruits have a strengthening effect on those with delicate and sensitive health, boost the immune system, improve liver function, and are a rich source of vitamins A, B1, B6, and C. The common jujube has no special soil requirements. It prefers sunny or partially sunny, sheltered locations. Frost hardiness down to -18°C.

Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.

The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
