Washingtonia filifera
Washingtonia filifera is a fast-growing, impressive palm native to the arid regions of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico.
It reaches up to 3 meters in height.
The leaves are palmate, divided into narrow, ribbon-like segments.
The fruits are small, spherical drupes. They are initially green, turning shiny, blue-black when ripe. They are gathered in long, pendulous, grape-like clusters.
The flowers are small, hermaphrodite, and white-pink or pale orange-pink.
Washingtonia filifera requires well-drained soil and ample watering in summer. It prefers a sunny location.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are high-quality and designed for both nurserymen and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Soak seeds in warm water for approximately 2-7 days, changing the water daily to accelerate germination.
Use light, well-drained soil. Choose tall, narrow pots with drainage at the bottom.
Plant the seeds approximately 0.5-1 cm deep.
Ensure the temperature is between 20-30°C (68-86°F). Keep the soil constantly moist, but not wet. Cover the pot with plastic wrap to increase humidity, and ensure proper ventilation.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
